What was it like to be a lesbian woman in the GDR?
Uferfrauen follows six protagonists who lived in large and small towns in the north and south of the former socialist republic; they have a lot to tell. The women share with the audience their everyday lives at the time, their struggle for self-determination, their first love, unconventional family planning and conflicts with the SED and the law.

Solidarity According to Women
The feature-length documentary entitled Solidarity according to women is a story about some of the brave Polish women whose wisdom, determination and commitment in the opposition movement of the 1980s helped bring about a change of the political reality in Poland. The link between two aspects of the film is Marta Dzido – its co-director and narrator. Born in 1981, being a symbolic daughter of the Solidarity movement, Dzido makes an attempt at locating and reinstating women who were written out of recent Polish history.
GE8EN
GE8EN is a fragmented portrait of a protest culture between the police and party. Filmed during the G8 summit in Heiligendamm, it questions the representation of reality in the chaotic high-pressure zone between power and protest.
Hamburger Gitter
170 investigators are working on hundreds of cases against militants and people involved in rioting and looting. Severe punishments have been demanded and imposed in over 40 cases so far. The state lost control in Hamburg in summer 2017 and is now trying ensure that it doesn’t happen again.
Cloud Making Machine
Firas, Jallow and Batoul just arrived in Berlin. They meet one another in a theater group. Through video letters, they reveal their deepest emotions to their families and friends back in their war-torn or poverty-stricken home countries.
