Director Peter Ohlendorf shows us excerpts from his film “Blut muss fließen – Undercover unter Nazis” /Blood Must Flow – Undercover Among Nazis (90 min / 2012 / German / Germany), with which he has been touring Germany for 12 years. He provides information about the neo-Nazi scene and cooperates with initiatives and organizations from civil society, politics, trade unions, the church and sports.

The nationwide alliance “Aufstehen gegen Rassismus” (AgR/Stand Up Against Racism), on the other hand, focuses on the fight against the AfD. It involves many local actors and individuals from various organizations, trade unions and associations.

Across Germany, volunteer supporters in regional and local groups and alliances organize information events, argumentation training and protests against the AfD. To this end, AgR sends out information and protest material nationwide, trains teamers and provides central support to local actors in the planning and implementation of nationwide protests, such as the current one against the AfD’s national party conference in Essen on the last weekend of June.

About the film:
The singer shouts violent slogans, the neo-Nazis go wild, arms raised in the Hitler salute: When journalist Thomas Kuban films a neo-Nazi concert with a hidden camera for the first time, he provides insight into a youth scene that few outsiders dare to enter. One song he comes across again and again: “Blood must flow thick as a stick…”.

Thomas Kuban has spent around 15 years researching the neo-Nazi scene. For almost nine years of them, he worked with a hidden camera, gathering frightening impressions across Europe that have gone unnoticed for far too long. Even 12 years after its premiere at the 2012 Berlinale, the film has lost none of its topicality.
