That was LETsDOK

Dear docfilm42 community,

A month of LETsDOK with amazing documentary film gems lies behind us.
Framed by inspiring and challenging film talks, the days have once again shown us what only independent and unformatted documentary film is capable of.
It takes us away and shows us the world from new perspectives. It observes, leaves deep impressions and teaches without lecturing us.
A lot of love, work and passion went into the organization of these days and is reflected in the positive response from our audience.

Baden-Württemberg, Berlin and Brandenburg were organised by docfilm42, but the Association for the Promotion of Documentary Film Culture once again coordinated all regions nationwide.
Here are a few impressions.
We would like to thank all sponsors and organizers, especially Petra Hoffmann, Sabine Willmann, Ira Kormannshaus, Anna Theil, Natalie Gravenor, Ole Elfenkämper and Susanne Dzeik.

And we are also continuing with an independent film production from Rojava/Syria, because docfilm42 is hosting documentary film days all year round:
Join us at the next online doc&talk next Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 11:00 am to immerse yourself in the beautiful Yazidi music film ‘Love in the Face of Genocide’, in which the collective stories of love and suffering are reflected in the songs.

The director Sêro Hindê will join us from Kurdistan for a film talk after the film.
